![]() ![]() ![]() The battle system is interesting and something I haven’t quite experienced. If you’ve played Golden Sun before and you still have admiration for how the battles look, Glory of Heracles is up your alley in that way. The attack animations are so over the top that they added an extended version that you can set in the options of them that takes 30 seconds to watch and show with immense magnitude how hard you are pummelling your foes. The 3D models to spritework makes for a good style and fun sprite animation. I think the best part about it is that it is a pretty handheld RPG. This game is firmly in the B-Tier of JRPGs. This is the 5th game in the Glory of Heracles series, but the first one to get localized, but there is no no plot-related connections to the other games. Glory of Heracles is an RPG set in ancient Greece, where 5 immortal amnesiacs team up to travel across the land and figure out their identities and eventually save the world. Upon beating the game, there are Extras, such as an item collection count, New Game + and Survival Mode (which can apparantly unlock a new Party member), but I’ll just mark my completion status here and give the game a long break. From starting my file to final boss, this game took me a bit over 40 hours to finish.
